This entry into the Pinky Violence genre was
way sleazier than I expected. Whether that is a good or bad thing I will
leave up to the reader. It is high on the Trash-O-Rama scale. I mean this
is a girl's high school. How bad can it get? The motto of the school is "Be
a wise wife; be a kind mother". Clearly a place for girls to get an education
and come out of school as good citizens of society ready to settle down with
a man. In the hands of director Norifumi Suzuki though it plumbs the depths
of depravity and sickness. And tons of nudity. This is a rough ride. And
not as entertaining as it might sound though it sure has its moments when
you just go, holy hell. This is the first in a series of four Terrifying
Girls' High School films. Suzuki directed the first two and then Masahiro
Shimura directed the final two. As best as I can tell there is no narrative
connection between the films but a shared theme of girl's fighting the school
authorities. And getting naked doing so. One other common factor is the presence
of Pinky Violence star Reiko Ike in all four. This one also has another one
of the top Pinky Violence stars - the luscious Miki Sugimoto who carries
her lower lip around like a loaded weapon.
As the camera pans into a geometry class of the private Seiko Girls High
School the teacher goes on with his lesson as the students pay no attention
- slurping noodles, inhaling gas and using vibrators on each other. Just
your normal girls school in Japan. There are two main gangs in the school
- one run by Miki, the other by Sumiko (Ryôko Ema - who did her share
of Pinky Violence films as well). Miki is from the wrong side of the tracks
and when she was gang raped decided she wasn't going to be a victim anymore
- but one of the savages. Sumiko's father runs the school and is a corrupt
dirt bag seducing the students and driving one to suicide. These two gangs
are constantly fighting each other - in school and out on the streets. And
when not fighting earning money as prostitutes.
Into this delicate balance comes Yuki (Reiko), a transfer from another school
which she got kicked out of. She is welcomed by a gang beating but doesn't
seem to care. She is here for a bigger purpose - revenge for her family.
A new male teacher (Masataka Narue) shows up and I think it will turn into
another To Sir with Love variation. Not quite as he slaps them around - which
they deserve after they get on their desks and strip - and they retaliate
by bringing in some boys to rape his girlfriend. It's nasty. Lots of sex,
hell, even when they get their revenge against the administration they have
a sex scene and when they declare victory they take off their uniforms and
burn them. The last frame is of Miki with only her panties on standing akimbo
and staring with defiance at the camera. There is actually a Junior Girls
High School series. Maybe that will be kinder. Or not.
