HK Cinema - 1960

In 1960 Bruce Lee appeared in a film called The Orphan. On its own merits, this is considered an important film in HK history. It is a film about the generation gap, juvenile delinquency and the bond between father and son. The success of this film though seems to have caused Bruce to lose a little perspective on things and he began to constantly get into trouble off screen. This finally led to his leaving HK and moving to Seattle where he enrolled in school.
He became very interested in martial arts and began studying them very seriously. He came up with his own style that he termed “The Art of the Intercepting Fist” and wrote a book about it. He also found the time to marry Linda Emery and move to California. He was interested in possibly getting into the film industry in the states.
